Paul Pelosi, husband of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and California Rep. Nancy Pelosi, has been arrested.

According to Fox News, the husband of the Speaker of the House was arrested in Napa at midnight on Saturday for drunk driving.

Paul Peosi was arrested in Napa County, California. , at 11:44 p.m. Saturday night and charged with driving under the influence and driving with a blood alcohol count of 0.08 or higher

The Speaker of the House has had a tough week, and that has only compounded her problems.

Since Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone of San Francisco banned the Speaker from receiving Holy Communion in his diocese, three other bishops have joined him.

According to The National Catholic Reporter, Bishop Robert Vasa of the Diocese of Santa Rosa, which borders San Francisco, forbade her from receiving Holy Communion.

“I spoke with the pastor at St Helena and informed him that if the Archbishop forbade someone from taking Holy Communion, the prohibition followed the person and the pastor was not free to disregard it,” he added.
Archbishop Cordileone and Bishop Robert Vasa were joined by Bishop Michael Burbidge of the Diocese of Arlington, Virginia, and Bishop Joseph E. Strickland of the Diocese of Tyler, Texas.

Abortion is strictly prohibited in the Catholic church, although several Catholic Democrats, such as Pelosi and President Joe Biden, have advocated for abortion rights.

According to Fox News, it all started a week ago when Archbishop Cordileone said the Speaker of the House would be banned from receiving Holy Communion for her pro-abortion stance.

The archbishop wrote to Speaker Pelosi notifying her that she should not attempt to receive Holy Communion and that if she did, the priests would deny her.

“In its Decree on the Church in the Modern World, Gaudium et Spes, the Second Vatican Council reaffirmed the Church’s historic and constant teaching that “life must be guarded with the greatest care from the time of conception, while abortion and infanticide are heinous crimes.”

“I am grateful to you for the time you have given me in the past to speak about these issues as I strive to follow this course.” Unfortunately, despite my several requests to talk with you again since you pledged to enshrine the Supreme Court’s Roe v. Wade decision in federal law following the approval of Texas Senate Bill 8 last September, I have not received such an accommodation.

That is why, on April 7, 2022, I wrote you a letter expressing my concerns and informing you that unless you publicly reject your advocacy for abortion ‘rights,’ you would be barred from referring to your Catholic religion in public and receiving Holy Communion. He answered, “I would have no choice but to declare, in accordance with Canon 915, that you are not to be admitted to Holy Communion.”

“Because you have not openly denounced your abortion attitude and continue to use your Catholic faith to explain your position and take Holy Communion, that moment has arrived.” As a result, in light of my responsibility as Archbishop of San Francisco to be “concerned for all the Christian faithful entrusted to [my] care” (Code of Canon Law, can. 383, 1)., I am hereby notifying you that you are not to present yourself for Holy Communion, and if you do, you will not be admitted to Holy Communion.

Until you openly disavow your support for abortion’s legality, confess, and accept absolution for this grave sin in the sacrament of Penance,” he stated.
According to Napa County records, Paul Pelosi  was arrested at 4:13 a.m. on Sunday and released at 7:26 a.m

The multimillionaire’s bail was set at $5,000.

Speaker Pelosi’s spokesperson said, “The Speaker will not be commenting on this private incident that occurred when she was on the East Coast.
